GUERMO.

P1170444

He was so cool. As sort of an outcast, in his own world he stood by the road smoking, with his jacket half hanging, with the rest of his classmates in a bigger group behind him. I really liked to take his photo since the rest of the kids were making fun of him, and the whole vibe changed as they saw he was getting the attention from this guy and his camera.

EVA LIA.

P1170404

Eva Lia is a fashion photographer herself who looked very cosy and warm in that lovely bright moustard tone scarf, leather and brown even though she admitted she wasn't feeling well. I checked her site as I felt curious about hr work and I gotta say she's got quite a pair of amazing shots, mostly in the art section!

Check her out: http://evaliaphotography.com/

PINK LADY.

P1170401

I asked this sweet looking lady if I could make a photo of her and she refused; as I tried to still get an incognito shot, I got shout out by another lady, without teeth, who said I was very rude for doing what I just did and that the police was going to come after me and take my camera away! quite an experience! she honestly made my day. But back to the pastel pink sweetheart,
I enjoy a lot the way she layered things together in the same color on her lower body area.

HYO.

P1170386

How Givenchy of Hyo!

MARIJKE.

P1170383

Marijke is our model drawing teacher at school. I have been in love with her monochrome-tough but classical style since our very first lessons. She's all about the clash of quality fabrics, smart accessorizing and contrasts. I must admit I never saw anyone work fully black outfits in so many different and interesting ways. And let's not forget her signature updo which works everysingle time. I will be following Marijke's looks from now on since I finally got the courage to ask her, AND SHE AGREED!

MIRJAM.

P1170361
P1170366

Mirjam lives in The Hague and is a freelance artist mostly into paint. Her hobby and biggest obsession besides painting is watching anime and fairies. I found her tattoos so quirky and sweet, so personal. But what amazed me the most was that yellow hanging pocket from her trousers, it took me a while to figure out what it was when I spotted her. Loved the ashy purple tone of her hair. I love to appreciate how different we all are.

POMMELINE.

P1170357

Windy times in The Hague! I actually like a lot how Pommeline's look was completely changed when it came to proportions and shapes because of the wind. It was fun to shoot her but quite tricky at the same time since we were both wearing hats and it only got harder to keep them on our heads as we tried to snap the photo.

ROB.

P1170271

A polkadotted vampire from the 70's!...is what I called Rob right after I shot this. It made him laugh, perhaps because it's accurate! I've always been a fan of Rob's style. Always classic but with that quirky final touch to it which makes it always unpredictably nice. The polkadotted shirt was self-made and given as a gift by Charlotte, who is another person who I'll be hunting next to get on the picture. I gotta say I quite like what's happening in between trouser, sock and shoe as well!

A WHOLE DIFFERENT SHOPPING EXPERIENCE AT NEN & WENDY'S.

IMG_0675 DSC_0216 P1170261 IMG_0676 IMG_0666 IMG_0656 IMG_0661 IMG_0657 IMG_0669 P1170257IMG_0670 IMG_0668 P1170252 IMG_0674 DSC_0212 IMG_0662 IMG_0679 IMG_0664 P1170259 IMG_0659 IMG_0660

Nen Xavier and Wendy Hameeteman are the proud founders of this cozy yet multiple conceptual store. Not only are they the founders of such space, but they happen to work in it as well besides selling amazing clothes, shoes, accesories etc.

In one hand we have Nen, who could style no matter how many looks for you in order to find what you finally feel fresh but fash in; and on the other we have Wendy, who as a skilled hair stylist has her own space in this same store where she could perfectly perform any kind of cut here and dye there for anyone who would feel like a makeover while shopping. Cause if you feel like your shoes still need to match your hair, whatelse better than to have someone fix it for you right away?!

They both invited me over last saturday to have some drinks at the store while they worked and helped people (who by the way, did not stop pouring in for the whole day) to get exactly what they wanted. I had a lot of fun, and I'm for sure going back anytime soon to pick up a couple of things I fell in love with.

ps. Thanks once again to both Nen & Wendy who had me over and gave me a super nice present that day with that golden Cheap Monday bullet necklace! I love it!

MARIEKE.

P1170208

I took this one in front of a gallery at the noordeinde where a small group of people gathered to have champagne (in Marieke's case, beer); looked like an opening to me by the looks of the people who attended and I was right! Marieke is the artist's wife who was exposing since that day on. She explained to me in a sarcastic tone what a tough job it was to be an artist's wife. She bought her show stopping knee-height red suede boots specially for the opening; in between other things she also confessed she was a "boot freak".

JASMINA.

P1170206
Jasmina was visually delightful! I was actually in a hurry and on my bike when I spotted her during museumnacht, but she's been definetly one of the few ones that has made me burn my rubber in order to make a lovely photo. Jasmina is originally croatian but has lived in The Hague for almost 20 years now. Jasmina works as a victim support at the War Crimes Tribunal, which was a very surprising piece of information to my ears, mostly coming from someone looking this way! I liked it a lot. I guess I wouldn't have done nothing to me if she told me she worked as a sales woman at an exclusive store.

MILOU.

P1170203

I loved Milou's golden embroidered woolen coat!

THE UNKNOWNS!

P1160897
I think I definetly need to get my mess together and be more organised when it comes to the info I get from the people I talk to after taking their picture; it's not the first time I lose someone's information like with these two wild ravers! I really had such a nice convo with them! I guess that's what keeps this whole thing going for me, the fact of meeting and talking to people I would probably never get the opportunity to get close to.

So, does anyone feel like sponsoring Enchante-by

JOLIEN.

P1160892

I met Jolien during the introduction days at my school some weeks ago now. It's just a pitty I forgot to make a close up of her mini up hard-do; I asked her where was it coming from and she only dropped the most fabulous, heaviest name in comedy as an answer: Patsy Stone!! her necklace is a danish handmade piece out of tiny little cute green and white beats which she got from a good friend as a present. The super-sized brown jacket was a left over piece of a play from the Royal Theatre in Copenhagen which was worn by an enormus person as we can see.

PUCK.

P1160890

Introduction days had never been this much fun! I had a blast those two days in front of the bar having free drinks, lots and lots of wine from Puck and Thomas (who are a beautiful couple BTW). I gotta make a photo of the stunner Thomas one of these days so you'll get what I mean.
OR! I could snap them together at once; they've been rocking this german army look lately, both in black trenchcoats, blonde wavy hairdo's, therefore I'm their biggest fan at the moment.

ZARA.

P1160775

One of my favourite photos this far. At first I almost deleted it because of the blurry guy's presence, but on a bigger screen he adds so much to the whole picture! Besides I love Zara's shoes and face expression; almost like those beautiful women with strong face factions from 17th century's paintings.

NIKA.

P1160766

I spotted Nika from a very long distance during an almost rainy afternoon. I reached her right before she went in her house with her husband and dog and asked her, why was she dressed this way, I felt so curious. A bit confused she said she dressed this way everyday. I loved how wrong her top was and how outerspace her skirt was. I could've sworn she was in Jean Paul Gaultier from head to toe. The way she tied her scarf from the back was quite interesting as well, quite Fifth Element!

NICOLAS.

P1160681

Nicolas was on a shopping trip with a friend in The Hague all the way from Utrecht. The reason why I was so fascinated by him was because as I scanned him when he passed me by I went like: bandana, check, leather jacket, check, black tank, check, tight jeans, check, Burberry hand bag ch......what?! I had never seen anyone clash creepers with a Burberry that size! it's risky...right on the verge. But that's what we all need once in a while, don't we! a guilty pleasure to makes us feel in danger

LIZZY & BARBARA.

P1160549

Lizzy and Barbara dropped by later on the day of EHUD's presentation, AND BOY DID THEY KILL IT?! I adored what they wore, it was somewhere in between MIUMIU girls meet Emilio Pucci prints and vintage Celine. HOT HOT MESSES.

HYO.

P1160548

My beloved babygirl Hyo in a COS dress and Balenciaga ankle wedges. Hyo worked with me for EHUD back in july at his S/S 10/11 presentation in Amsterdam during fashion week. She made killer drinks for everyone who came down to check out the collection and the models who played the afternoon away in our indoors croquett pitch.

LUCCIANA.

P1160147

My little sis Lucci, making a summer comeback! since she's been already featured on the site before, but during winter, therefore looking completely different. This was the first time she wore those amazing ankle bootsies I found for her. that's the adavantage of having younger and smaller siblings! if you find something amazing which you can't fit, you can always buy it for them and still keep it close!

HANAE & DANIEL WILKE.

P1160139

THE LOOK OF TROUBLE! I love couple's matching looks! and I love H&D!...okay enough. I don't think they meant it that night though, but navy defo works good for both. Hanae told me she tried to go for the french woman evening look here, which I thought worked out perfectly. Whatelse can be more french than red lipstick, a rolled-up sleeved trench, black stockings and peep-toe pumps?!

SUMMER.

P1160135

First of all I have to confess how much I love her name. I met summer the day before I made this photo. The day I made it, the whole world cup craze had just exploded and Holland was doing quite well. As we couldn't stand being in between so many orange fellas we walked for a block, got some wine and sat at the steps of this church. This was the last time I saw Summer; she's in Vienna now and I can't wait for her to come back in october!

SUZANNE.

P1150869

ET VOILA! ZOEZOE a la Beettlejuice! Paris was literally b u r n i n g that day! as we tried to scout some girls down des maires' streets for a spontaneous photoshoot, I wanted to capture Suzanne's outfit under this beautiful parisian sun; we went into this little alley and tried it in the dark but it didn't work so as we kept on walking, we realised we were right in front of Bill Tornade's head office!

?

P1150630

I feel really sorry for losing the info about her and this photo. The only thing I remember about this moment was thinking: Damn how I love petit girls struttin' down the street early in the morning!
